Zoe and our new baby girl Isabella Joy

Zebidiah my awesome goalie

Look at Zachariah now!! What a difference a knee and physical therapy makes in a year!!! Zac you rocked it!!!!

End of Kindergarten for Zac. He wants his hair to look like Joseph Prince.. He cracks me up..

We took the kids sledding down a steep hill at the park for the 1st time.. My 1st picture of the kids with a parent! LOL!!

Zachariah has found an amazing talent... He's a fish!!!

Zebidiah and Zachariah joined a lap club where they have their therapy.. They are amazing in the pool

My sweet boys!!

Zachariah won life skill leader at school! He was so proud and so was I!!!!

Wow I can't believe how long it has been since I have been over on our blog to post! Where do I even begin?

Medical updates: Zachariah, We have moved up to once a year check ups with the nuerosurgeon and urologist for Zac's lypomylomeningoceole. He still needs prayer for bladder growth to catch up to where it should be and all that entails. When it catches up and we are free of accidents he can go off the medication. We are possibly looking for another genetisist/ neurodevelopmental specialist as ours keeps telling me Zac has a cognitive problem and well I don't see it. We are looking for a good developmental opthemologist for Zac because his occupational therapist found his eyes wander when tired and trying to read or tack objects. He is having a time seeing and the regular eye Dr doesn't think it's enough of a problem to do something about. Zac is doing amazing with his knee joint and other than a bit of a limp you'd never know he is an amputee.

Zebidiah: This past Jan I finally got Zebidiah into a neuropsycologist to see what could be done about his sensory issues. The Dr was excellent and said Zeb had a bit of traumatic hypotonia and occupational therapy would help alot. So Zeb sees a therapist every other week to work on those things. Zeb has come such a long way and I can so see a HUGE difference in how he handles noises etc.. Please pray for his leg though. It is not remolding with the brace he wears and his little heal is still turning in. He has been complaining it hurts when he walks. He still asks GOD every night to please give him a foot and to have to decide to amputate or do a tibulal ostiotomy on his leg is more than I want to think about. The desicion for Zac was a no brainer it had to be done. This time around is so different.

Zoe is doing great! She is such a great trooper with all the running we do for her brothers!

The boys played soccer this year and did an amazing job. They had awesome coaches this year who were not phased by the boys' prosthetics. They played the boys as much as the other kids. It was such sheer joy to watch Zac gliade across that field and kick that ball. Zeb was so awesome as a goalie and got right in there. Zoe was great bringing them drinks when they took breaks from the game! She has decided sports is not her thing.

Zoe is in mini 4H this year and I am so proud of her. She has most of her projects done and has even cooked a few meals for the family! She is taking foods and whales and dolphins this year. Zoe has read I think 4 encyclopedias on whales and dolphins and several books on sea life since March! The kids discovered a dolphin that lives in Tampa named Winter and she has a prosthetic fin because her fin was amputated from an injury. So now the Z's want Mark and I to drive them down to visit with Winter!

Zeb and Zac start swim team on thur. They are so excited to graduate to the olympic pool. They started swimming where they recieve their therapy services this past winter. I sit poolside and cry. Zac out swims all the kids on his team and they have 2 arms and 2 legs! The smile on his face as he out swims the others is just priceless. The boys LOVE to be on the swim team! I just have to dig a hole in the yard to put in a pool so the future olympic swimmers can practice!!!

Morning Lisa - been checking on you - and yeah - was beginning to think you weren't coming back!

Thanks for all the updates - y'all are kind of a tribute to what it means when people say "deal with it" - you and your kids are!

I just couldn't be any happier for you guys - inspiration is a word that leaps right to mind - and I needed a little of that today...thanks for posting right to me....and let the kids know that their example helped me out!

hugs - aus and co.
