Many of you have asked what is White Cloud Mountain. Well when we started our adoption for Zoe in 2004 I did alot of research on places to see where I knew we would be traveling. Well 3 adoptions later I can finally say I have seen the beauty of White Cloud. It is about 10 miles north of Guangzhou and Is breathtakingly beautiful. We lucked out and had perfect weather and the smog above the city was low enough that you can faintly make out the city below. I think I took about 70 pics of this beautiful place and only wish we could have spent the day climbing and exploring but because of Zacs limb difference we knew he couldn't do and go to all places we could and he is too heavy to carry and hike. We visited the Buddist temple that is on the premises and it was amzingly beautiful. We said a few prayers to God while our Guide offered her sacrifice and said her prayers. To my amazement this temple did bring peace to me. I have been to other buddist temples and felt so uneasy. Maybe I have grown up a bit spiritually or maybe this place was special. I don't know but I do know I can worship God anywhere and I don't have to be freaked out that people worship God differently than we do. This trip I know that God Loves ALL of his creation no matter how they worship. Jesus said judge not and taught to Love one another. So we gave our guide her time to worship how she chooses and while she did I prayed and admired the beauty of the temple. The beauty of the belief that if you are loving to one another and help your fellow man you will be rewarded in the hereafter. I want to add to that belief that you are also rewarded here and now. Any way..... The flowers were in bloom and the sun was shining the air was crisp and clean. Zac was behaving himself and all and all it was a good trip today! Now if someone could please convince my new son that I am his momma and not his big sister I'd Love you for life!!!!!
After White Cloud we went jade shopping then onto the toy market for Christmas presents for the kids from their big brother.
PS. To Clarify The temple was on the way up the mountain and is a special place to our guide who we are very fond of. I prayed to Abba Father God while there and had a wonderful peace from him while I prayed walking around the buildings and taking pictures of the beautiful architecture. While I know Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life No One goes to the Father except through him. I also know sometimes to you have to find the common ground and just be the light in the darkness. By finding common ground with our guide and respecting her and learning what she had to say she will hear and respect what we show her through our light and Love. We plant seeds of Christs Love and The Holy Spirit will water those seeds and God will watch them grow. I am by no means embracing the Buddist religion but so needed a touch from God and while praying to Jesus there I got that touch from God and felt peace.

Looks like a great place to visit! Hoping when we travel back to China we can go there as well! Sounds like Zach is adjusting to his new mom and dad quite nicely. It will be a challenge when you get home, but a good one! Wishing you safe travels home!
The Roth's
Lisa,
Remember 1 Cor. 8:4, There is none other God but one. Also John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.
Though Buddhists may have pretty-sounding philosophies, they deny Christ as their Savior, and do not worship the true God.
Zach looks more relaxed in each picture you've posted of him. That must feel wonderful.
Have a safe journey home!

Cool pictures Lisa.
Congratulations on your new addition to your family. He is a very handsome young man.
Your story of the ordeal you and your husband encountered making the trip to China was truly a miracle.
