Frustrated!!!

Sometimes having a child with a minor disability can be so frustrating and this morning I am ready to pull out my hair. In March Zeb took a tumble and ripped his ear wich required a little glue and a trip to the ER. The cost for this trip was over $1000. No problem we have insurance and he has supplimental insurance for his disability. I hate using the ER but in a small town and the closest hospital 25 min away and no urgent cares any closer and it being a sunday afternoon we opted for the closest ER. Well 6 months later no one wants to pay the bill. Our primary insurance that we pay BIG bucks for says we have to meet ded. His secondary is saying it is not related to his disability and denies it. HUH? He has no foot therefore has issues with his balance and he falls this time he was hurt and I couldn't patch him up myself ( well I could have if I could get my hands on that glue they use). I have made many calls the last few months only to get told do this and this and the bill will get paid. Yep did it still not paid. Call again after next nasty letter same thing so I do it still NOTHING. How do I appeal your decision? Well no one can answer that question and no one returns calls. I just want this taken care of and am so tired of thinking it is taken care of when it isn't. 1 call I made today thinking things were good and only find out the hospital didn't bill right so what I thought was paid yep you guessed it NOPE!!!!! So I'll be going through this again in 3 months if I can't get the whole thing fixed now. I'd Love to get any advice from someone who has BTDT. It's hard to swallow right now that the CEO of a major ins co. made millions of $$ last year but can't pay claims for their clients! This is so crazy.
Why does it have to be so hard to get the things your child needs taken care of? Just pay the darn claim for crying out loud. Ok I apologize for this vent. I just needed to get my frustration out somehow. If you are a prayer please say 1 for us about this. I can't imagine having to deal with getting a huge claim taken care of!!!!!!!
Oh today is day 64 of the wait to get NOAH's LOA!!!!

If you tell them (and especially if you do) contact your states insurance commissioner- they will be hopping and your claim will get special handling. I used to work for an ins co and they would freak if an inquiry came in through the insurance commissioners office.

Oh we are going thru something similiar Lisa, Bruce changed jobs. Well our insurance was PAID until the end of the month...they take almost $500 a month out of his check! Well guess what?!@ they cancelled us on his last day of work, NOT the end of the month that we PAID for. So now we have a $300 doctor bill that should have been paid! AND the insurance company will NOT refund ANY of the premium we paid!! IT SUCKS!!!
